The Apocalypse Scorpion is a super hot pepper that originated in Italy and is considered one of the world's hottest peppers:

    The Apocalypse Scorpion has an estimated Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) of 1,400,000, which is comparable to the Carolina Reaper. 
     
  • Appearance 
    The pepper has bumpy, bright red skin and a signature scorpion stinger. The plant can grow to be about 3–4 ft tall and produces 3 in long pods. 
  • Flavor 
    The Apocalypse Scorpion has a fruity flavor. 
     
  • Stability 
    The Apocalypse Scorpion is an unstable variety, so the color and shape of the peppers may vary. This means that the seeds may not reliably reproduce the same characteristics from one generation to the next.

    Peppers prefer rich, loamy soil. You can easily get this soil type by tilling in an inch or so of good, organic compost. Be careful with nitrogen, though. Peppers react well to nitrogen, growing so quickly that they are more disease-prone and won't produce as much.
